Lanzarote is one of the seven islands known collectively as the Canaries. Which can all be found in the Atlantic Ocean some 90 miles from the coastline of West Africa. The third main resort on Lanzarote is called Costa Teguise – and this is located to the north of the airport at Arrecife. This is a quieter and more family orientated destination and an ideal spot for anyone planning a relaxing break on the island. With plenty of beachfront hotels and villas available in and around areas such as Playa Flamingo and Playa Cucharas. Much of the resort was developed with the assistance of the local artist César Manrique and has a very stylish feel as a result.
