My love affair with football began back when I was a child. Each World Cup ignited a unique passion in me. The sport reminds me of an important and interesting mindset; those who don’t know that failure is inevitable often achieve success.

My favorite team in the FIFA World Cup 2010 is Brazil. They are a hot favorite to win the World Cup and are the only country to have 18 World Cup appearances. They have won the title five times in the years 1958,1962,1970,1994 and 2002.

Their strengths reside in the fact that they are a classic attacking team. They are fast and creative when in possession and a terror during free kicks and corners. Their only weakness is that they tend to relax a bit when their team is doing well.

The star players on the team are Luis Fabiano and Kaka. Luis Fabiano’s heading is a major threat but he can finish equally well with both feet. A perfect ball striker in every way, he is my favorite for the Golden Boot.

Kaka’s football style is unique as he has the technique of a Brazilian and the physical qualities of a European. His forte is his cardiovascular stamina and lightning speed. He is a brilliant mid-fielder who uses his electric dribbling and great vision to create opportunities for the strikers. He is the player to watch out for if Brazil reaches the finals.

As the World Cup progresses, you can bet that I will be wearing my Brazilian tee and cheering relentlessly for my team. I look forward to watching the World Cup through some direct tv deals Detroit and hope to see Brazil vs. Argentina in the finals.
