New York City Summer Weekends
If you live in New York, then you know how awful summers here can be. The streets are crowded, and the heat is stifling. Here are some great options weekend.
Head north of the state. The Hudson River passes by the city and if you head north, you will find it is actually quite beautiful. A lot of great little bed and breakfast to stay in, as the Rhinecliff.
Another option is to go to Fire Island. If you’ve never been to Fire Island, it is worth the trek. The island has its own climate system do not pay attention to all expectations, as is usually the weather there.
Of course, a popular option for New Yorkers on weekends is to head east in the Hamptons. Personally, I do not like the nightlife in the Hamptons, but it is a great place to be during the day.
Some of the best places to go out to the east include East Hampton, Amagansett and Sag Harbor. If you are tired of the Hamptons, an excellent alternative is the head of the North Fork. It is much less of a scene than the Hamptons and is much more relaxing.
Head to Cape. If you have friends who have a holiday home in Cape Cod, enjoy! Cape Cod is a wonderful place to spend your summer days.
